InHitman 3’s Dartmoor stage, you might come across a ‘Mysterious Switch’ which won’t let you open it. Well, you’ll need a specific item to get in there, and thankfully it isn’t too tough. Here’show to unlock the Mysterious Switch in Hitman 3’s Dartmoor.

How to unlock the Mysterious Switch
Get into Emma and Gregory’s room
First up, you need toget into Emma and Gregory’s room. In order to do this, you can pick up a key - check out our page onwhere to find all the Dartmoor manor keysfor more on that. Alternatively, you can jimmy the door with a lockpick orcrowbar, or climb out the window of the bathroom next to it to climb around onto the bedroom balcony. Either way, hop into the bedroom unseen.
Emma and Gregory room clues
Emma and Gregory’s room has four clues you’ll need to pick up. If you do the ‘Means, Motive And Opportunity’ mission story they’ll be counted out in your Intel screen, but if not, here’s what you need to keep an eye out for:
The one you might’ve missed is the bulldog cane, also described as the ‘walking cane’ when you’re prompted to pick it up. Don’t worry, it’s easy to find and is essential to opening the Mysterious Switches.
What does the cane do?
The game will warn you with a red triangle when you’re prompted to pick the cane up, but don’t worry about this - no one is around to see you pick it up and you’re absolutely fine to walk around the house already holding it. You can’t put it in your inventory though, so be careful not to drop it. The cane can be used as a non-lethal weapon and picking it up completes the ‘D’ya Like Dags’ challenge for Dartmoor.
It’s also the key to opening the Mysterious Switch.
Activate the Mysterious Switch
You can also use the cane to open the secret rooms elsewhere in the house, including the weird red cushion room on the side of Alexa’s office.
