Best AK-47 loadout in Warzone
The CW AK has a pretty major damage dropoff at range, but it is unbelievably powerful up close. This is the near-uncontested best sniper support in Warzone, and there are a few different ways to piece it together. The trick is to balance mobility against your personal recoil control skills.
Here’s the best AK-47 loadout in Warzone:
The close-range Cold War AK is surprisingly flexible. Some players will trade either the Bruiser Grip or Tiger Team Spotlight for a Liberator Barrel to get a bit of recoil control. You can also swap the GRU Suppressor for a standard Suppressor or Liberator Barrel to improve handling speed while retaining bullet velocity. Alternatively, you can trade one of those attachments for a GRU Elastic Wrap to get a huge bump in ADS speed. You can even pick up a Spetznaz Grip to suppress recoil further. More than most Assault Rifles in Warzone, you can tweak the Cold War AK-47 until it feels right to you. No matter what, it will shred enemies up close.

The doubleARmeta, in which players paired a long-range Assault Rifle with a Cold War AK instead of anSMG, has gone somewhat out of fashion. If you enjoy that playstyle though, it’s still completely viable. These days, however, it’s more common to use the CW AK with a Sniper Rifle. TheSwiss K31andKar98kare popular run-and-gun choices. If you prefer more traditional, stationary sniping, go with aZRG. If none of these fit your playstyle, check out our guide to thebest Sniper Rifles in Warzonefor more ideas.
Best long-range AK-47 loadout in Warzone
Warzone’s top long-range rifles have been nerfed repeatedly over the last few seasons, to the point where the AK-47 is actually quite competitive at long range. Here’s the best build if you want to try a different style of AK-47 gameplay.
We’re sticking with theGRU Suppresor, which is essential for long-range builds. The combination of stealth, increased range, and increased bullet velocity is too much to pass up. TheSpetznaz RPKbarrel provides more of the same, plus some recoil control. For even more recoil control, we’re adding in aSpetznaz Grip. The AK-47 has fairly linear recoil, but it is still considerable. For long range, most players will want all the recoil control they can get. Pop on anAxial Arms 3xto help you spot and track distant targets. Finally, we’re sticking with the60 Round Magazine. This is the largest magazine available, and for long-range fights you’ll want every one of those 60 rounds.
If this build is feeling a bit slow, you can try swapping to a Liberator Barrel or 45 Round Magazine. Both of these will boost your ADS speed at the cost of recoil control and 15 bullets, respectively. You can also swap the Spetznaz Grip for a GRU Elastic Wrap.

Long-range ARs such as this are almost always used alongside and SMG. For Season 6, theOTs 9andboth MP5sare top options. The newLAPA is looking powerful as well if you’re in the mood for something different.
